Brandon Centre

The centre is for 12-24 year olds and their parents/carers who live in Camden, and for MST-PSB: 10-17 years, IQ above 65, who display problem sexual behaviour which risks them being taken into care or custody, living at home or in long-term foster care. The service provides counselling and psychotherapy, sexual health and advice, parenting classes, multisystemic therapy for youth offenders or problem sexual behaviour.

The service is for young parents (16-25 years old) in Camden who have had a child/ren removed from their care either temporarily or permanently through special guardianship, adoption or fostering. It provides psychological support wherever the young person feels most comfortable, individual sessions, group work, and liaison with other services and agencies to support practical needs.

The service is for young people under the age of 25. It provides advice and support with contraception, relationships and sexual health. Also offers text and web chat.

The service is for 16-24 year olds who are complex and/or where staff are unsure of the appropriate adult service to approach. The Transitions Team will also review cases in adult services where there is concern about disengagement. It provides outcome focused interventions based on the young person’s goals and aspirations and facilitate transition to adult services.

Spear Pre-employment Training Course

The service is for 16-24 year olds who would like support in entering sustainable work or education. It provides a free, interactive, 6-week course that supports young people with interview training and practice, writing a CV, help with job applications, confidence building, customer service qualification and job opportunities. Spear offers ongoing support for up to a year after the 6-week course has been completed with 1-1 follow-ups.

The Brent Centre for Young People

The service is for young people aged 14-21 living in the London Borough of Brent (also see Camden residents), who are experiencing mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties. It provides adolescent exploratory therapy (AET); group psychotherapy; family therapy and support for parents and carers; and support for young Irish people.

The service is for anyone aged between 16 and 30 who has personal or emotional problems e.g. in relationships with family, friends or partners, or difficulties at school, college or work. It provides four free, confidential consultations.
