Spear Pre-employment Training Course

The service is for 16-24 year olds who would like support in entering sustainable work or education. It provides a free, interactive, 6-week course that supports young people with interview training and practice, writing a CV, help with job applications, confidence building, customer service qualification and job opportunities. Spear offers ongoing support for up to a year after the 6-week course has been completed with 1-1 follow-ups.

It offers different activities including art/painting, art therapy, theatre group, drama/movement therapy, ballet/contemporary dance, choir, film club, keep fit, sequence dancing, ballroom dancing, salsa, computing for fun, quizzes, piano sessions, line dancing, tai chi, arts exploration, yoga, music therapy, psychotherapy, raffles, and occasional parties and outings.
