Single Homeless Project – Camden Recovery Programme
SHP provide a Recovery and Inclusion service for individuals who have left drug or alcohol treatment, stabilised in drug or alcohol treatment and / or are in the homeless hostel pathway. Individuals receive tailored support to help them access education, employment, training and volunteering programmes.
Single Homeless Project 165 Project
Pathways project hostel for single homeless people with continuing drug use problems. The project is for people with a class A addiction. Will accept people with dogs. Length of stay 6 to 18 months.
Single Homeless Project Camden
Provides accommodation for single homeless people with ongoing support needs including substance misuse, mental health, offending behaviour and rough sleeping. Maximum length of stay 2 years. Offers resettlement support and advice to help residents find appropriate longer-term housing.
Single Homeless Project Dennis Handfield House
Single homeless people who have ongoing support needs around drugs and antisocial behaviour. Length of stay up to 2 years.
Solace Women’s Aid
upporting women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Spear Pre-employment Training Course
The service is for 16-24 year olds who would like support in entering sustainable work or education. It provides a free, interactive, 6-week course that supports young people with interview training and practice, writing a CV, help with job applications, confidence building, customer service qualification and job opportunities. Spear offers ongoing support for up to a year after the 6-week course has been completed with 1-1 follow-ups.
St Marylebone Healing and Counselling Centre (Psychodynamic Therapy)
Provides professional counselling and psychotherapy, offering one session a week for up to two years.
St Mungo’s Hostel (2-8 Argyle Walk)
Hostel for single homeless people with mental health problems including those who also have alcohol and drug issues. Maximum length of stay 2 years.
St Mungo’s Hostel (Birkenhead Street Hostel)
Hostel for single homeless people, including those who have been sleeping rough and who have additional support needs, including mental health problems, drug and/or alcohol problems and a history of offending. Maximum length of stay 2 years.
St Pancras Community Centre Older Peoples Project
The service is for Camden residents over 50. It runs activities and workshops including cane and raffia basketry, bingo, and gentle yoga. Its Good Neighbour Scheme offers older people support and company at home, help getting out and about, and an opportunity to share skills.
