Brandon Centre

The centre is for 12-24 year olds and their parents/carers who live in Camden, and for MST-PSB: 10-17 years, IQ above 65, who display problem sexual behaviour which risks them being taken into care or custody, living at home or in long-term foster care. The service provides counselling and psychotherapy, sexual health and advice, parenting classes, multisystemic therapy for youth offenders or problem sexual behaviour.

Brandon Reach @ The Brandon Centre

The service is for young parents (16-25 years old) in Camden who have had a child/ren removed from their care either temporarily or permanently through special guardianship, adoption or fostering. It provides psychological support wherever the young person feels most comfortable, individual sessions, group work, and liaison with other services and agencies to support practical needs.

British Psychotherapy Foundation

Provides psychoanalytic psychotherapy for people who have emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social shyness and isolation, phobias, long-term difficulties, and panic attacks.

British Red Cross Society Aztec Row

Supports refugees in a wide number of ways, from providing emergency provisions for those facing severe hardship to giving orientation support and friendly advice to the most vulnerable.

British Somali Community

For members of the Somali community in London, particularly women in Camden. Provides supplementary schooling for 5-17 year old, parent learning support, women’s health drop-in, girls and young women club, Elderly Somali Women Project to reduce stress and isolation.

Brook Services

The service is for young people under the age of 25. It provides advice and support with contraception, relationships and sexual health. Also offers text and web chat.

Camden Active Health Team (Clinical Referral for Physical Activity)

The service is for people with a clinical diagnosis of a mental health illness where the diagnosis has persisted for at least six weeks. The service provides an eight-week free specialist activity programme, including sports groups, gym and group exercises. Offers an initial consultation with an exercise specialist and then follow on support and motivation.

Camden Age UK

A service for Camden residents over the age of 55. It offers a counselling service, including special counselling for BME and people with dementia including Alzheimer’s disease (with help also available for family and carers) and group therapy (up to 8 person per group); support and advice for financial and housing problems, and accessing social care, health services and social activities in the local area; Dementia advice service, ethnic minority groups, LGB&T support for over 50’s; and computing classes are among other available services.

Camden Alcohol Service

The service offers help and support for those who have an alcohol problem which interferes with their health, relationships, employment and other key aspects of their life. It also works with friends and family.

Camden and Islington Foundation Trust – Substance Misuse Services

Provides community services to people with issues with drugs or alcohol. Works to improve people’s mental health, wellbeing and help them to achieve recovery. Also offers specialist treatment for club and party drug users through The Grip clinic.
